However, white eggplant actually was the most common eggplant cultivar in the 1700s and 1800s. According to the Food Geekery website, eggplant actually got its name because that small, white eggplant closely resembles a goose egg. Instructions
1 Visit your favorite seed suppliers, either online or in the store. If you don't have a favorite source for seeds locally, start looking in department stores, home improvement stores or gardening shops.
2 Locate the vegetable seeds section of the store or website. In stores the vegetable seeds are usually grouped together, separate from but close by flower and foliage seeds. Online, vegetable seeds are usually given their own web page separate from flower seeds.
3 Scan through the vegetable seeds until you find seeds for eggplant of any color, then check that immediate area--or web page--more thoroughly for white eggplant seeds. They will almost always be stocked close to other eggplant varieties.
4 Request white eggplant seeds if your favorite retailer or online store doesn't already stock them; they're really quite a common item. If you want your eggplant seeds right away, you can always move on to the next store or use the Resources links listed below to purchase online.
5Proceed to checkout with your white eggplant seeds, in the store or online, in the normal manner. If you're checking out in person you can use any form of payment in accordance with store policy.
